Frequently Asked Questions

After the running the installer, a SmartScreen warning is displayed warning of potential problems with the product. What sould I do?

Microsoft SmartScreen is a filter against phishing and malware implemented in several products from the company. Sometimes it may occur that after downloading the TechIS installer you may be notified of a risk resulting from the use of applications (all applications, not just TechIS) downloaded from the Internet. ELVAC SOLUTIONS products are safe so you can therefore continue with the installation.

An anti-virus program warning is displayed after running the installer

When running TechIS, some anti-virus products many notify the user of potential risks related to running an application downloaded from the Internet (all applications not just TechIS). Many anti-virus products keep a database of verified (long time existing and used) applications which when running do not show any notification to the user. After some time, it can be assumed that the TechISapplication will be included in these applications. This concerns a similar problem as when using Windows SmartScreen so, therefore you can safely continue with the installation

In the application log or the server, TaskServer error ‘System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open database “TechIS” requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user ‘NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM’.

If using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or a later version and due to security reasons your account “NT AUTHORITY\System” is cancelled from the role sysadmin SQL server, then during installation select the option SQL Server Authentication and/or enable account NT AUTHORITY\System above the database.
